It is a difficult task to arrange an event of this nature having taken into account all the minute organizational aspects and the finances involved in it. You have done so well to organize it in the best possible manner showing your professionalism and managerial skills. My sincere and heartfelt thanks to the organzing committee. This College has existed well over a century serving the educational needs of the children around Kalutara area, irrespective of cast, creed and race. Many a teachers & Principals have laboured hard to bring it to its present state. It is nothing but right that you think of those teachers to pay your tribute and gratuity. As loyal Old Boys remain close to your "Alma Mater", Holy Cross College, she is your second mother. I wish you all the very best, in your careers and Gods choicest blessings on your selves and your beloved families.

This is a land mark event in the history of the '92 Group which invites us all to recall with gratitude and admiration the teachers who have made us whom we are today. These loving teachers have devoted a fruitful period, of their valuable lives for the student's well being. Today we are all here as successful citizens in the Sri Lankan society because of that untiring devotion. They have shown us the path of life with the light of wisdom. Their words and deeds make us more energetic in any difficulties we face in our lives even today. Our loving teachers have the honour of bringing us up as true Crusaders in a society which is filled with corruption. There fore thay are, indeed suitable for our homage.

Finally with a sense of gratitude, on behalf of '92 Group of Holy Cross College, I would like to say "Teachers plant seeds of knowledge that will grow forever" It is our utmost duty to remember you, dear teachers and honour you for making us whom we are today.

I am pleased to send this message for the occation of "Teachers Felicitation Programme" organized by "92 Group of Holy Cross College. There is no doubt that the teachers or our school have rendered a yeoman service to Holy Cross College specially the nation in general not only by educating the students but also moulding and grooming them to play a positive role in the society. Therefore felicitating, remembering and appreciating teachers is a noble and laudable event.
